Welcome to our new website. For professional pediatric care, call Ringgold Pediatrics of Ringgold, GA. Our pediatric clinic offers a wide range of professional services for the health of infants, children, and adolescents. With experienced physicians on staff, you can count on us to give you the best solutions to all your pediatric concerns

CLOSED DAILY FROM 12:00PM-1:00PM (LUNCH)
SATURDAY & SUNDAY: (CLOSED)
Extended hours will be available as needed!



Appointments

Appointments are required unless you have an EMERGENCY. Always call the office before you bring your child in to insure that a health provider is on site. If it is an emergency, we will direct you to the nearest emergency room.
Expect to spend more time in the office during your first visit. We'll need to gather some personal information to establish a file. We request that new patients arrrive 20 minutes before their scheduled appointment.
Please have us listed as your Primary Care provider on your insurance card.


After Hours/Emergency Care

After hours and on weekends, we can be reached through the office answering service. We will make every effort to return your call promptly.
If you feel your child is in a life and death situation, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.
If your child has ingested drugs, poisons, or plants, etc. Call the Poison Control Center Immediately and follow thier directions exactly.

Telephone Consultation

It is important for the parents to be able to call thier child's doctor when the need arise's. Our nursing staff handles routine health problems or questions during office hours.
Telephones are returned to you as soon as our patient schedule permits. To facilitate this process, please provide us with the following information when you call: child's full name, date of birth, caller's name, return phone number, known allergies, current medications, child's temperature, history of chronic disease(if applicable), reason for calling, and your pharmacy phone number(with caller ID blocks off).

WE WILL NOT CALL IN PRESCRIPTIONS
FOR NARCOTICS, ANTIBIOTICS, OR
ADD/ADHD MEDICATIONS


Confidentiality

Medical information is confidential and can be released only on written consent of the child's legal gaurdian. We require at least 24 hours notice for processing of medical record requests. In some instances, there may be a fee for photocopying.


Fever

Parents are very often alarmed by their child's fever. Remember that a fever is nature's way of fighting infection. Older infants and children often run high fevers with mild infections. However, infants less that 3 months old rarely run fevers except when they are seriously ill.
If your child is less than 3 months old and has a rectal tmeperature greater than 100.4 degrees, call us or go to the nearest Emergency Room. DO NOT GIVE ANYTHING for this child's fever WITHOUT TALKING WITH US FIRST.


MEDICATION DOSAGE:
Tylenol Medication/Fever
6-11 lbs. 1/2 dropper of Tylenol infant drops
12-17 lbs. 1 dropper of infant Tylenol drops
or 1/2 tsp. children's Tylenol suspension
18-23 lbs. 1 1/2 dropper of children's Tylenol drops
or 3/4 tsp. of children's Tylenol suspension
24-35 lbs. 2 droppers of children's Tylenol drops
or 1 tsp. of children's Tylenol suspension
or 2 chewable 80 mg tablets
36-47 lbs. 1 1/2 tsp. of children's Tylenol suspension
or 3 chewable 80 mg tablets
48-59 lbs. 2 tsp. of children's Tylenol suspension
or 4 chewable 80 mg tablets
60-71 lbs. 2 1/2 tsp. of children's Tylenol suspension
or 5 chewable 80 mg tablets
72-95 lbs. 3 tsp. of children's Tylenol suspension
or 6 chewable 80 mg tablets
or 3 cap/tabs of 160 mg Junior Strength tablets
96 lbs. & over 4 caps/tabs of 160 mg Junior Strength tablets


Vacination Schedule:

Birth-HBV
1 month-HBV
2 months-DTAP, HIB, IPV, PCV, & ROTAVIRUS
4 months-same as 2 months
6-9 months-HBV, DTAP, HIB, IPV, PCV, & ROTAVIRUS
12 months-MMR, VZV, HAV, & PCV
15-18 months-DTAP, HIB, IPV, & HAV
4-6 years- DTAP, IPV, MMR, & VZV
11-18 years- TDAP, MENACTRA, & GARDASIL(3 DOSE SERIES), & yearly FLU shots.


Insurance Medicaid:

We participate in Georgia Medicaid, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Peachcare for Kids, AmeriChoice, & Tenncare. You must selcet us as your primary care provider to receive care in our clinic.


Other Insurances:

We are providers for many private insurance plans. Please check with our office, if you have any questions.
We offer payment plans for self-pay patients.
